Starting an eBusiness in the Immigration Services Field   no comments

An Internet business in the immigration services field  has the potential to help as many as half a million people each year. There are many different things you could offer to someone needing help with this topic.  From ebooks on the history of United States Immigration to how to apply for a Green Card or when someone might need a US Visa there a dozens of niches someone offering these services could fit into.

You might be wondering how to get started in something like this.  The first step would be in gathering the data you need to provide, and creation of links for that information. You would then need to decide how to present it – either through blogs, informative articles, or through interactive forums.  You could consider doing paid one on one chats to help people fill out their applications or create videos showing the type of information each application needs. Remember, though that you are offering an information / service based tool set, and plan accordingly.

If you were to create e-books to sell you might consider using affiliate marketing or opening a private forum to go along with it to give it more value. That would allow people who have bought the book to help each other through the forum. Because eBusinesses are flexible you can always add blogs or other types of content as you expand.

One thing you need to keep in mind is that there are specific security issues in dealing with things over the Internet. You will be tasked with keeping business and client information secure, ensuring the data you have is viable and current, and keeping it actively flowing to those who purchase it. Guarding against hackers and power outages are equally important. Because of this yo will want to use data encryption, backup services, anti-virus and firewall programs, and other measures to keep you business data safe.

One overlooked task for any ebusiness is system administration. You can be offering anything under the sun, from videos about United States Immigration to self help guides to applying for a Green Card or a US Visa and you will still discover that you need to deal with system administration. It is through this process of monitoring operation systems security, applying patches and updated as they are created, and maintaining configuration change logs and backups of the site in case of issues that keeps a site running smoothly.  Some key things to track are repeated logon failures, security holes discovered through auditing their system, and tests to double check security as needed.

Running an Internet business is not only about providing a service.  It is about providing that service in a secure and reliable fashion. Formation of a partnership with someone trustworthy who knows how to do one side or the other can be a huge help in ensuring the business is successful.  Teaching yourself how to do both sides can provide the greatest security, however, if you are willing to put that much work into it.
